 Gen. Kayani chairs Corps Commanders Conference in GHQ

RAWALPINDI: A meeting of Corps Commanders is being chaired by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani in GHQ, Rawalpindi today, SAMAA reported on Tuesday.

Earlier yesterday, US halted 800 million US dollars’ military aid of Pakistan and Pakistan Defense Minister Ahmad Mukhtar said in his interview that if aid will not be released then Pakistan will be compelled to move its army from the Afghan border. Under changing relations with the US and new developments post Osama bin Laden death, today’s corps commanders’ conference carries special significance as it is hoped that the issues of national security will also be reviewed in the conference.
