J&K: Woman alleges rape by Army jawans


Srinagar:  Tension is brewing in south Kashmir's Kulgam district following allegations of abduction and rape of a woman on Thursday.

Police have filed an FIR and instituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) after the victim alleged that two Army men had abducted and raped her for two days. 

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has promised that the troops deployed in the village will be subjected to identification parade and guilty will be punished.

The state government says the Army has promised full cooperation into the investigations.

Meanwhile a CD has surfaced showing the victim changing her statement. The separatists too have joined the cause and have called for a strike on Saturday against the abduction and r
