MQM accuses ANP of running torture cells in Karachi

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) says that killing of five people during Friday’s strike has proved that Awami National Party (ANP) is a terrorist party.

MQM’s Coordination Committee held its meeting simultaneously in Pakistan and London.

After the meeting, MQM said that terrorists were destroying Karachi’s peace with the help of Lyari gangsters, extortionists and criminal elements.

It alleged that ANP have set up their torture cells in different areas of the city with the help of some secret hands.

The coordination committee appealed to Governor and Chief Minister to act against terrorists.

On the other hand, ANP has termed these allegations as contrary to facts.

Addressing a news conference in Karachi, ANP Sindh chief Shahi Syed said his party wants elimination of Taliban.

He said that ANP always stood by security agencies against Taliban.  GO TO SOURCE..

Karachi: Shahi syed criticises MQM

ANP Sindh President Shahi Syed said that MQM was trying to sabotage the peace process in Karachi.

Holding a press conference in Karachi, Shahi Syed said that MQM always blackmailed the government and engaged itself in the politics of dead bodies and strikes.

Shahi demanded that judicial investigation should be made regarding criminal incidents which occurred during last 2 days.

He said that the army operation should be launched and ANP would present itself first of all for the investigation.  GO TO SOURCE..
