Multan police check post blast hurts 10
MULTAN: At least 10 police personnel have been injured in a blast that took place on the Gaddafi police check-post, SAMAA reported.
Police apprehended three suspects from the crime scene.
Police officials confirmed that no one was killed in the explosion that targeted police check post.
The police check post is situated on Khaniwal road where judicial complex and other offices are also there.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene soon after the attack and security forces cordoned off the area.
Injured have been taken Nishtar Hospital for treatment.
Earlier, according to the initial reports, suicide bomber was on the motorcycle. Eyewitnesses told the media that the suicide bomber came to police personnel and wanted water. He blew himself up soon after that.
Emergency has been imposed in the hospitals of the city after the blast.
Multan is the native town of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
President Asif Ali Zardari and PM Gilani condemned the suicide blast, directing authorities to provide better health facilities. SAMAA
