| Hyderabad: All set for MQM foundation day celebrations Posted: <p> </p><p>The public meeting to mark the 28th foundation day of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will be held at the Bagh Mustafa Ground in Hyderabad.</p><p> </p><p>All the important point of the city have been decorated with party flags and poster of the party chief Altaf hussain.</p><p> </p><p>MQM coordination committee members visited the public meeting site and reviewed the arrangements for today’s public meeting.</p><p> </p><p>At least 2.000 police officials, including ladies police, bomb disposal squad and traffic police, have been deployed for duties around the public meeting site.<br /> </p> |

| Shujaabad: Old coin discovered during excavation Posted: <p> </p><p>According to information, a farmer Chaudhry Ashiq of Shahpur Abha area has leased his land to a brick kiln owner. During digging of the land labourers found a pot full of ancient coins. However, the labourers distributed the coins among themselves.</p><p> </p><p>Chaudhry Ashiq informed the area police which recovered some of the coins from the labourers. Some of the coins also belonged to Tughliq dynasty.<br /> </p> |

| Sindh CNG stations reopened 3 hours before schedule Posted: <p> </p><p>According to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), the schedule of reopening of CNG stations across Sindh incliding Karachi has been changed.</p><p> </p><p>The SSGC has announced a decrease of three hours in the schedule of loadshedding and all the CNG stations were reopened at 6:00am today (Sunday) instead of 9:00am.</p><p> </p><p>According to SSGC, the decrease in loadshedding schedule is due to improvement in the supply of gas.</p><p> </p><p>On the other hand, All Karachi Industrial Alliance has said that there will be no industrial activities in Karachi as gas supply to the industrial units will remain closed as per Gas Load Management Schedule.<br /> </p> |

Security forces used tear gas and truncheons to break up the march, according to opposition and government officials.</p><p> </p><p>Several people were lightly injured and others arrested during the violence which underscores growing unease in the West African country since President Alpha Conde came to power in hotly contested polls in late 2010.</p><p> </p><p>"They objected to our meeting and they arrested people, even though we had completed all the necessary administrative procedures," said Aboubacar Sylla, a spokesman for the two main opposition coalition groups LPCP and ADP.</p><p> </p><p>The opposition had called the rally to protest what it says is the unfair handling of the forthcoming legislative elections - polls meant to complete Guinea s transition from military rule and unblock millions of dollars in foreign aid.</p><p> </p><p>A junta ran Guinea, the world s top supplier of bauxite, for nearly two years prior to Conde s election, but subsequent parliamentary elections have been repeatedly delayed by political infighting.<br /> </p> |

| Islamabad: Religious leader strangulated to death Posted: <p> </p><p>According to police two suspects came to meet Mufti Dr Rashid Azhar at his residence in Sector I-10-1 in Islamabad at around 2:30pm. Dr Rashid and his wife served lunch to the guests.</p><p> </p><p>Dr Rashid was found dead at 6:00pm when his children entered his room. It is stated that a belt was used to strangulate him. His car and mobile phone were also missing.</p><p> </p><p>Dr Rashid Azhar beloged to Ahle Hadith Wal-Jamaat and was also an employee at the Saudi Counsulate. Residents of the area staged a protest after the murder of Dr Rasheed and blocked IJP Road.<br /> </p> |
| Chichawatni: Four of a family killed in road accident Posted: <p> </p><p>According to information, a speeding bus hit a motorcycle on Chichawatni-Burewala Road, killing Ghulam Murtaza, resident of 212 Fatah village near Chishtian, his wife Manzooran and two sons, 5-year-old Asad Murtaza and 3-year-old Ali Hussain.</p><p> </p><p>The driver and conductor of the bus managed to flee from the scene after the accident. Meanwhile, eye-witnesses have alleged that police and rescue officials arrived at the spot after a delay of one and half an hour despite being informed on time as a result an injured died without getting any treatment.</p><p> </p><p>Residents of the area also raised slogans against Police Station Sadr and damaged the bus involved in the accident by pelting stones.<br /> </p> |

| RY Khan: 6 killed due to poisons gas from well Posted: <p> </p><p>As per details, 12-year-old Naveed fell into a dirty well. To save Naveed, his father and uncle climbed down but did not come back. Four others including three brothers also went inside the well to rescue them, from which three also died due to inhaling poisonous gas. </p><p> </p><p>On receiving the information, rescue teams reached the spot and recovered six bodies while a man was pulled out fainted.<br /> </p> |

| Majola banned for one year over bonus scam Posted: <p> </p><p>He has been suspended pending a disciplinary hearing in the latest fall-out from a $600,000 bonus scandal.</p><p> </p><p>The unanimous move to ban the 52-year-old official on full pay was made by the CSA board of directors at a meeting in a hotel close to OR Tambo international airport in eastern Johannesburg.</p><p> </p><p>Acting president AK Khan and audit and risks committee chairman John Blair resigned three days ago and CSA brand and corporate relations manager Kass Naidoo stepped down a few hours before the Majola announcement.</p><p> </p><p>A government-initiated inquiry headed by retired judge Chris Nicholson last week recommended prosecutors open a case against Majola over a scandal that has dogged the national cricket body for several years.</p><p> </p><p>Companies have been reluctant to sponsor the national team and tournaments, and sports minister Fikile Mbalula said Friday that CSA needed fresh leadership to create "a new era of hope and clean governance".</p><p> </p><p>Majola and former chief finanical officer Don McIntosh were the alleged main benefactors of secret bonuses paid to CSA employees after South Africa staged the 2009 Indian Premier League (IPL) and ICC Champions Trophy.</p><p> </p><p>The IPL tournament dates clashed with those of elections in India three years ago, raising security concerns and forcing the Twenty20 event to be switched to South Africa.<br /> </p> |
