Industry, trade circles advise caution: India allows investments from Pakistan

KARACHI, Aug 1: India overturned on Wednesday a ban on foreign investment from Pakistan, the Indian commerce ministry said. According to reports reaching here, the move is aimed at building goodwill amid a renewed push for peace.
"The government of India has reviewed the policy and decided to permit a citizen of Pakistan or an entity incorporated in Pakistan to make investments in India," said a statement from the ministry...

Ephedrine case: Secretary accused of threatening officer

ISLAMABAD, Aug 1: Interior Secretary Khawaja Siddiq Akbar may find himself in troubled waters after a senior official of the government's drug regulatory body accused him on Wednesday of threatening him to exonerate the former health secretary from the ephedrine drug scam, or face consequences.

US releases $1.1 billion from CSF

Suspect wounded in Pune blasts
