With the new law having been struck down, the nation is now waiting with bated breath to know what will become of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf when the NRO implementation case is to be listed on August 8 before a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa...

Coalition parties send defiant message to judiciary
----------------------------------------------------------------
By Syed Irfan Raza
ISLAMABAD, Aug 3: A meeting of parties in the PPP-led coalition government held in the presidency on Friday night after the Supreme Court struck down the recently promulgated contempt law gave a strong message to the judiciary that they would continue to uphold the supremacy of parliament and face emerging challenges with 'unity, force and conviction'.
As the government-judiciary tussle intensified, the ruling coalition stuck to its stance that Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf would not write a letter to the Swiss authorities to reopen money-laundering cases against President Asif Ali Zardari...

By Mohammad Yaqoob in London
ASHLEY Jackson struck a brace as a pumped up Great Britain ripped apart Pakistan 4-1 in their crucial Group 'A' match at the Riverbank Arena here on Friday.
