Two killed in blast near Imambargah: Sectarian attack unnerves Karachi By S. Bill to validate Gilani’s post-conviction actions By Khawar Ghumman ISLAMABAD, Nov 18: The National Assembly is likely to take up and approve on Monday a bill which will validate actions taken by former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani between his conviction on April 26 and sacking on June 19 by the Supreme Court in the contempt of court case. According to the order of the day issued by the National Assembly on Sunday, Minister for Law and Justice Farooq H. Naek will table the bill to “validate acts, orders and other instruments etc, done, made and issued from 26-04-2012 to 19-06-2012 (both days inclusive)”. ‘The Validation Bill, 2012’, as reported by the standing committee on law, will be taken up by the house at once...

14 women, children among 23 killed in Israeli attack GAZA CITY, Nov 18: Israeli air strikes on Sunday killed 23 Palestinians in the bloodiest day so far of its massive air campaign on the Gaza Strip, as diplomatic efforts to broker a truce intensified. With Egypt at the centre of efforts to broker a ceasefire, Palestinian officials said it was possible a deal would be reached “today or tomorrow”.
