Contempt case: SC praises Imran’s conductBy Nasir IqbalISLAMABAD, Oct 19: Praising the conduct of Imran Khan during hearings of a contempt of court case against him, the Supreme Court has ruled that benefit of doubt should always be extended to the alleged contemnor since the nature of such proceedings are quasi-criminal. “Moreover, we have noticed the conduct of Imran Khan in court and observed that throughout the proceedings it was evident from his body language that he holds full respect and regard for the court,” observed Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali while explaining reasons in a detailed judgment for withdrawing the contempt notice against chief of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI). | ||||||
