The government had expected to make Rs120 billion and was counting on revenue from the telecom auction to balance the budget, instead of focusing on revenue generation through widening the tax net. | ||||||||||||||
Govt suffers second defeat in two weeksBy Our Staff ReporterISLAMABAD: The government faced another defeat in the opposition-dominated Senate on Wednesday when the house rejected the controversial Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) Ordinance with a majority vote.
