Air corridor for Nato was never closed: Gilani

ISLAMABAD, Feb 25: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Saturday that the air corridor for Nato supplies had never been closed, taking a plea that the cabinet had decided to suspend supplies for the US-led troops in Afghanistan through the land route only.
"The Defence Committee of the Cabinet had taken a decision to suspend supplies for Nato through land route and get the Shamsi airbase vacated. We are bound by that," he told a group of reporters at the Prime Minister's House...

4 missing persons return

QUETTA, Feb 25: Four men who had been missing for the past few months were released by their captors and, according to some sources, reached their home on Saturday night. Unconfirmed reports, however, put the number of freed men at 10.

Ex-servicemen call for amending Army Act

ISLAMABAD, Feb 25: The increasing number of people, accused of terrorism, who have been tried under the Pakistan Army Act (PAA) of 1952 has led to some people suggesting that changes need to be made to this law.
